Financial Aid Opportunities
There are several ways to fund your education through Western Iowa Tech in a Homeland Security program of study.
Western Iowa Tech's Financial Aid web page has information about scholarships and other forms of financial aid.
The Department of Labor's Community-Based Job Training Grant may fund towards tuition and fees. Read below for more details.
Community-Based Job Training Grant
(Career Accounts)
The Security Insitute Community-Based Job Training Grant, or Career Accounts, may contribute up to $6,000 over two (2) years in funding towards Homeland Security programs of study. Career Accounts may fund for degree-seeking students and those who wish to continue their education in a homeland security field.
*People are ineligible for a Career Account if they are receiving funding through the Workforce Investment Act. Those receiving federal aid through traditional loans, the Pell Grant and schoarships are still eligible.
